Bill graduated with a music performance degree from Arizona State University. He worked for The Salvation Army in Phoenix for 20+ years in various positions of leadership, including Program Director for an inner-city community center in downtown Phoenix where he developed music, drama, and athletic programs involving at-risk youth from low-income families. His music groups performed at national and international events for The Salvation Army.
He is presently the Service Coordinator for Hampstead Paradise Shadows Apartments in Phoenix, Arizona where he recruited volunteers from the business, religious, and education communities to address the needs of the residents, most of whom are refugees from the Middle East and Africa. Consistency, continuity, and persistence on the part of the volunteers have resulted in a 100% graduation rate among high school seniors at Paradise Shadows. In 2015, all 9 high school seniors graduated, 5 with honors, and all were accepted to college.
